HISTORY 1900-1950

1902. The largest vessel in all history of the factory was built - oil-transporting schooner "President Kruger" for Kaspian fleet.
1922. Laying-up of the factory due to Civil war and dramatic financial predicaments.
1925. Ceremonial start of the factory after the laying-up.
1931. First Soviet Union steam caterpillar backhoe was produced.
1934. A line of gold-extracting equipment was put into production. First gold-extracting dredge was manufactured.
1935. Order on 10 45-ton steam railroad cranes for Moscow-Volga canal was fulfilled.

1936. Dredges for Moscow-Volga canal construction were produced.
1938. 152-mm howitzer M10 production started.
1941. After the Great Patriotic war began, Kiev "Arsenal" plant was evacuated to the factory. Serial production of 45-mm anti-tank guns started.
1942. First Soviet Union centrifugal casting shop was opened. Division 76-mm ZIS-3 gun was put into production.

1943. 45-mm gun with serial number 19870 was made. In 40 years it will return to the plant as a part of museum exhibition.
1944. 57-mm ZIS-2 anti-tank guns production was organized.
1945. The plant was awarded with Lenin Order for armament production in the period of war. More than 52000 guns were produced during the war.
1946. Production of narrow-gauge locomotives, 75 h.p., operating on every type of fuel, was started.
